Walk The Land
A small collection of wares inspired by my time living in the interior west.
The design for this collection came to me while on a daily walk along the sunset trail in Central Idaho, the walks began to feel like a conversation with the land, an opportunity to slow down and listen, a grounding activity to start and end my day.
I had the honor of listening to Joy Harjo speak recently and she said that the sunrise is a powerful time to open and receive the energy of the day and the sunset is an opportunity to thank the day and release it. These walks were my way of greeting and releasing the day.
The yellow bead represent the sunrise, receiving energy and the terra cotta are the sunset, releasing the energy.
